James Baker III on assignment to help George II clean up his mess in Iraq

Knowing when to call daddy's friends for help is priceless. Of course "dubya" is a slow learner, calling his daddy's friend James Baker III several years too late, in the process costing America half a trillion dollars.

Why didn't they do this sooner? I think it's because a lot of this war money is going to George W's friends. It's not like getting drunk and wrecking the lamborghini. Someone else has to pay for the mess, and it's going to be the American People. Maybe the war really is starting to sting the GOP politically and the money machine might be taken away from them if they don't do something? That can be quite the motivator.

At first I sighed with relief when I read this article, that maybe this administration is trying to figure out a way to end the war. Baker is not one of the usual incompetents. I wonder though, can Baker III be trusted now with having the interests of the American People in mind after doing this work? Or how about this?

Too late for Bubble Boy to ask for help from Daddy's friends. He could ask for help from Daddy's friend Clinton, of course, but that would bring up all that messy Oedipal stuff and remind Bubble Boy that Clinton is the smart son his Daddy always wanted instead of him.
