Mediterranean's worst environmental disaster

Sometimes your tax dollars are used to clean up after oil spills, and sometimes they are used to create them. That's what happened when Israel bombed a Lebanese power plant, creating the worst oil spill in the history of the Mediterranean Sea. 10,000 to 15,000 metric tons have spilled into the Mediterranean so far.

The American taxpayer generously supports Israel's military, which is sometimes used to drop internationally banned cluster bombs on civilians, and white phosphorus. Right now the Bush Administration is rushing more bombs to Israel so it can use them to attack dangerous future terrorists (Lebanese children).
