UPS unveils delivery van with 60-70% efficiency gain.

From green car congress. UPS and the US EPA have unveiled a diesel-hydraulic series-hybrid "brown" delivery truck. Trucks using this system instead of a conventional transmission are more efficient by 60 to 70%, and reduce their CO2 by 40% compared to current fleet. It also uses regenerative braking. In my neck of the woods UPS vans also use natural gas.
